This one is as easy at it goes!!!
the original name is: IDIOT CHICKEN!!
(don't get offended...years ago I could not boil water for tea without burning it!!!)
:))
anyway...
for this recipe the best chicken parts are thighs and drums...
many times on sale...they make NOT TO BEAT BARGAIN!!!
place them skin up in an ovenproof dish (lasagna type)...
sprinkle them with bread crumb mixture...
Mixture:
1/2 cup bread crumbs (I use Progresso Italian style, but any will do)
1 tablespoon sweet paprika powder
1 teaspoon salt( I use Coarse Kosher, but any will do)
1 teaspoon marjoran (oregano or basil will do a good sub)
OK...preheat oven to 400 degrees and sprinkle half of the mixture over the chicken parts...
put in the oven, bake for about 20 minuts...
take them out, turn it over, sprinkle the remaining half of mixture, lower the oven to 350 degrees and bake another 25 minutes...
Please remember that not every oven is the same...so you need to make sure chicken is done...
poke one piece (the biggest one) with a fork...if the juice comes running clear they are done...you may use meat thermometer (160)
Side note...
I usually buy the big tray of chicken parts on sale...
and use left overs for pasta-chicken salad for the next day lunch or use the left over chicken meat for OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD Paprikarz!!! (recipe coming up in the next couple of days)
The biggest thing with me and the kitchen is...
I love to eat!!!.... GOOD, INEXPENSIVE and FAST!!! :)))
Good side dishes?...
mashed potatoes
and
cucumber salad (thinly sliced peeled cucumbers with sour cream, salt, ground black pepper and dill)
